Jared Kushner told senators in a closed-door briefing Wednesday that the Trump administration is pressing ahead with its Middle East peace plan, even with the Palestinians boycotting the process and without a stable government in Israel, White House officials tell me.
Why it matters: The path could soon be cleared for Israel to annex areas of the West Bank envisioned as part of Israel under the plan. In the meantime, the administration is urging the Palestinians to negotiate, warning that its current plan will move forward without their input if they don't.

Why the f*** is the United States “approving” such things? And who the f*** is Jared Kushner to be talking to the Senate about it?
Disgraceful on both fronts.
So, it comes down to, you’re not getting the whole pie.
Now do you want a slice or go hungry?
If they said no to half the pie in the past then why would you expect them to say yes to just one slice?
what it is the Palestinians are supposed to be negotiating
``
the existence of Israel for one.
The Arab nations pay the Palestinians to keep the conflict going. If the Palestinians ever accepted peace, the cash flow would stop.
Screw the Palestinians. I wouldn’t care if they all disappeared under suspicious circumstances.
Ok, no pie for you.
Head em up!.......
Move em out!.....
Rawhide!
Israel has existed very nicely for over 70 years without Palestinian recognition. I don't see them needing it for their existence to continue.
They aren’t going anywhere.
Palestinian recognition is the basis of the negotiation - your reply obscures the point and your own question. Or perhaps you’ve never lived in the ME and do not understand the problem
Why does Israel need Palestinian recognition?
The Trump plan has already allocated all the territory Israel wants to Israel to begin with so it's not like the Palestinians could change that through negotiations. So if there's nothing to talk about then Israel may as well push on with their annexations, with or without U.S. approval.
Or perhaps youve never lived in the ME and do not understand the problem
What I understand is that by aligning so closely with Israel with this plan the U.S. no longer has any part to play as a neutral party in the negotiation process. That ship sailed, and it'll never be back. So the best thing to do is to leave Israel and the Palestinians to work things out between themselves, or not work things out as the case may be. The U.S. has played its part.
Back in the 1940s and 50s, Israel extended to the Jordan River. The nation of Jordan lay east of the Jordon River and was called Trans-Jordan. When did this change and how? Somebody clue me in.
Israel never extended to the Jordan River in the West Bank until the 1967 war when they took the territory from Jordan
How does Axios know what jared told senators?
The report is just gossip
Good question because as we all know politicians in Washington never, ever leak anything to the press, especially a bipartisan committee. </sarcasm>
You obviously have no clue about how things work in the ME especially Israel and the Palis.
Well then by all means enlighten me.
go live it, get back
