WASHINGTON — The Office of Attending Physician notified some congressional staff members on Wednesday in an email of a possible coronavirus exposure that may have occurred among attendees at the recent American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference in Washington, D.C.

The memo, according to the email, “describes a potential exposure based on contact from meeting attendees who were in contact with another individual that tested positive in New York prior to their travel to DC.”

The email said “there is no particular action necessary at this time for our Congressional Members who attended the meeting in Washington DC.”

“The DC Health Department considers this a low-risk exposure,” the email said.

And approximately two-thirds of Members of Congress attended the AIPAC wingding, including their “lobbying day” event where everyone shakes hands and backslaps. The Israel Minister of Health has ordered that everyone returning to Israel from the AIPAC event be quarantined. This could get very nasty, very soon. That Manhattan lawyer also had some sort of contact with AIPAC. He’s in critical condition, a d his wife, son, daughter and nextdoor neoghbr have all tested positive. He also attended a bar mitzvah and synagogue. The son attends Yeshiva U and both kids frequent several yeshivas. All have shut down “for disinfecting.”
