It’s Ohio. They take abuse of police resources very seriously.

According to the article, they had warned her against abusing 911 resources the first time she called.

I’ve tried talking my father and aunt into a family plan, but with each of us paying our fair share.

I bet the parents of this woman would have had no problem paying for her part of the plan if she had only seemed appreciative and visited them more often, taken them out for dinner, done some things for one of their parents, if they were still living, etc.

I immediately thought of this video while reading about this Millennial. It’s a must watch if you haven’t seen it yet.

“A home staging expert?”

One of those things I just throw up the hands and go “aw, what the hell, sure, why not? - where ya just kinda don’t give a damn about the silliness, the whole world is nuts.

I understand the warning. I understand that she committed a crime.

there is more than one level of crime.

But the judicial system hands out felonies like lollipops.

They probably charged her with a felony because they could and let her plea down to a misdemeanor.

If she had not acted like such a spoiled brat, they would have charged her with a misdemeanor, which would have been plead down to a lower level misdemeanor.

Per my example at the beginning of this thread: if I had called 911 again, I would have been charged with a misdemeanor but probably let off with a small fine, perhaps plead down to a very minor misdemeanor, or just given a warning and charged court costs because I wasn’t acting like a brat and did sort of have an unsettling situation.

The article states she’s 36. 36! More than old enough to know that calling 911 for something other than a true emergency is a big no-no. Then again, it shows some people’s first thought when things don’t go their way is to call the government for help.

The follow up story:

https://www.cantonrep.com/news/20200227/plea-deal-for-jackson-twp-woman-over-911-cellphone-complaint

Yes, it got knocked down to a misdemeanor. Community service, probation, a small fine and she has to do mental health counseling.

Also yes, she is the real estate agent. And she gives her excuse in the article .. ADHD and sometimes overreacts when not taking her meds.

Rather than calling the entitlement brats millennials, we should call them parasites.
