Had a similar experience more than 30 years ago: very suspicious looking lump on my lungs found in an x-ray in a routine company physical. I had a young family with three small children then. Went out an bought a big life insurance policy just in case. It was cheap.

Subsequent tests proved there was nothing there.

Wasted my money on the insurance policy. But a man's got to do what a man's got to do, right?
