“ Hes a proven buthurt sore loser. He also voted for stacey abrahms gun control on privite property bill.“

Eric Erickson played a clip from a Collins interview in which he said Abrams was a good friend of his and a really nice person.

There's nothing unusual about it.

Well, I think there is. I think it's unusual in this environment to rebuff Trump. I also think it's unusual that Kemp not explain his pick. It's certainly not required, but it is unusual in this razor-thin majority, fight to death environment.

I wish Kemp would explain his reasons. He hasn't done so to my knowledge. Financing would be a valid reason - hell, any reason would be helpful to all three of them.

Her name is Amanda Chase and I have already made my own yard sign and the election isn’t until Nov. 2021.

I think it would be MORE unusual for a governor to explain his pick publicly -- beyond the usual "he/she will do a great job representing this state in the Senate" tripe.

I'm sure the rationale for his appointment has been given to President Trump.

Would you have rather she had not voted to acquit President Trump?

How stupid is that? Of course I'm happy she voted to acquit. Where did you get the idea I thought otherwise?

I would LOVE for Collins to stay in the house HOWEVER if he wants to run for the senate he had damn well earned his place in the senate!!! This woman was appointed because of HUGE campaign donations for the governor she is not tested and Collins is a PROVEN fighter!!!

Loeffler is in the mode of the late John McCain, Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. She is a progressive while falsely reflecting a conservative persona. Beware!

What do you have against Lindsey Graham?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
We elected President Trump to stop our country being turned into North Mexico against our will.
Grahamnesty has voted for amnesty for illegal aliens THREE times and has vowed to continue to try to pass amnesty until he is thrown out of office.
His entire career has been spent doing the opposite of why we elected President Trump, if re-elected Grahamnesty will be pushing for amnesty and a permanent Democrat majority.
There will have been no point in electing Trump if the Amnesty Senators of the GOP give away the country anyway after he is gone.
Weren’t Trump and FReepers all gung-ho for Kemp though? People here kept bashing Casey Cagle too.
Lindsey is all talk and little action. Also he threatened the president if he fired either Muller or Sessions. Lindsey, how’s that senate investigation of FISA abuse going?
Going to be pretty funny if the two with the top votes are Democrats.
The choice in the general election would be for the Democrat - or the other Democrat.
I think that’s why Collins will stay in his comfortable 9th Cong. district where he’s a rock star... for now.
Loeffler either will or will not pan out in 2 years. She’ll then have a record to compare to Collins. And there WILL be a primary.
Collins has already pissed me off with his nasty attitude.
I’m not voting for him.
If I’m not mistaken, Georgia has the same access to the media everybody else has. Everybody in the country, including Georgia, saw what a great fighter Doug Collins was in the impeachment travesty.
Yet some FReepers here, from Georgia no less, treat the contest for the senate seat as if Collins were some sort of political unknown. It’s Loefler who is the unknown...and an apparent air head on top of it.
Truth is, conservative Georgia is as proud of Collins, if not more so, as the rest of us are. And they’ll vote that way.
Cagle is a vile, disgusting piece of sh!t who...
if he couldn’t get the Governorship, then didn’t care if Abrams won it.
His campaign commercials were beneath contempt.
Sure wish he'd rethink this. If the Republicans win back the House, he would be the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
He's still fairly young - he could parlay his House rock star status to a run for the governership in four or five years.
“Loeffler ... is a progressive while falsely reflecting a conservative persona ...”
What is your evidence for this claim?
Maybe he should.
But also maybe we shouldn’t go Jiahd against Loeffler who as far as I can tell has done nothing wrong. If she wins the primary she should receive our full support.
