I got 6 letters in and have skipped reading the article

I figured your claim had to be bunk, so I looked at your “In Forum” list of postings and I find I cannot debunk what you wrote. You are the anti-bunk.

Recall that it was a doctor in China who identified the problem in December, posted it on social media, was forced to recant his posts, and was killed by the disease.

It seems to be saying “All government people outside China can be trusted. But China? Don’t trust THEM.”

It completely flies in the face of what we’ve learned the past four years about the Deep State and the incredible extent to which they will go to lie to us. They are hoist on their own petard.

The specific topic is the Coronavirus, and the CCP actions have undermined their credibility on this issue.

The broader point applies to any government/official body that is not forthcoming and as transparent as possible.

I’m retired Army and a DoD civilian employee. The Federal bureaucracy has a natural tendency to overclassify things in general. Add on to that, fear of exposing mistakes and/or malfeasance or in some recent examples active attempts to interfere with Constitutional processes and you have people not trusting the government, even when they are trying to do the right thing.

Transparency is the only cure, but it is an anathema to too many government officials.

We need to let people be treated like adults, and the first lessons is 90% of what you read on Facebook should be researched. If people actually take Facebook for hard facts we got a bigger problem.
