There will be portable units which will require you to step out of line. The folks in line with you will save your place. Go easy on the diuretics, and bring plenty of bottled water. It’s expensive- $4, and you can share. The earlier you go the better your chances are of getting in and getting a good seat. I arrived at 11 am. The doors opened at 4pm, and the event started at 5pm, with the President speaking at about 7:30pm. I would go and be in line 10 hours before POTUS speaks. I was in the nose bleed section.

More questions. Can I bring a disposable folding chair and back pack? I’ll dump them before security.
