Britain's Tyson Fury defeated American boxer Deontay Wilder of Alabama on Saturday night in Las Vegas to capture the WBC heavyweight title.
Fury, whose previous fight with Wilder, in Los Angeles in 2018, ended in a draw, knocked down Wilder in the third and fifth rounds -- and dominated the bout until Wilder's team threw in the towel during the seventh round, according to the Associated Press.
"The king has returned to his throne!" Fury said after the fight.

It was a bloodbath for Wilder, exactly the outcome I wanted.
Deontay Wilder at the White House.
Congratulations to Fury though. <3
Note to self: don't ever come to FR if you want to watch any kind of major sporting event because some A-Hole will undoubtedly post spoilers.
How many people actually spent the Pay Per View fee?! wow!
Not me. I didn't even know there was a fight until I went to one of my tv sites. But I was going to download and watch it. Now I don't have to waste my time, I'll just watch highlights on Youtube.
This does happen after any big name sporting event. The OP usually whines about how they are required to post the actual headline in the title, but in all of the years I've been here I've never heard of anyone getting dinged by the moderators for posting something like Wilder - Fury Fight (Spoiler Alert) in the title then the actual headline in the body of the post. They are just obviously too excited at the prospect of being the first to post what everyone in the world will know soon anyway to think about that.
It’s been 3 hours since the fight lol. You snooze you lose.
Living in Spain and being 6 hours ahead does give me the ability to post all sorts of content meant to ruin your day as soon as you wake up and go to the computer to read the news. Not everybody is so happy to do that as you appear to be, though. Give yourself a pat on the back.
I almost think you want to smack me around and drink my blood like Fury did to Wilder!
No, you aren't any different than lots of people who post before they think, though in your case most aren't so excited about spoiling it for everyone else that they even put it in Breaking News. I should have known better.
If you do a search on my posts you can see that I've already seen the 2nd half season premiere of a show that doesn't air officially until tonight. I could have easily posted a summary of what happened in the episode but I don't get pleasure out of ruining things for others. You apparently do. You even expect people to get angry over it but you aren't worth it. All you did was remind me of what not to do when I want to see something without knowing the ending in advance.
Glad you enjoyed the fight.
Mods, please change the title of this thread to “Fury v. Wilder SPOLIERS” so our next European Freeper doesn’t lunge for my throat.
I heard Fury said nice things about Trump too
It was no match, Mike “The Bite” Tyson versus Joan Wilder. She’s lucky she escaped with her ears. /sarc
Wilder needed the beating, and it had to be that bad, otherwise the Ref and the Judges would have found a way to give it to Wilder.
It should not have gone that far. Wilder’s trainer threw in the towel because he had a concussion. He had already questioned him about his equilibrium.
“Wilder needed the beating, and it had to be that bad, otherwise the Ref and the Judges would have found a way to give it to Wilder.”
Exactly . White bad .
No Frank Stallone?
When I was stationed in Germany for 10 of my 20+ years in the Army, I played sports and was a sports official. I called softball, baseball, tackle football, flag football, basketball, all from the military kids up to the troops playing sports. I would umpire 3 games after work, or call two or three flag football games, or at the gym call two or three basketball games. That is where I earned extra money that I saved for my kids Christmas money. I loved sports. Then one day, I simply quit caring about sports. I got tired of the players in pro sports whining. I got tired of college coaches and players whining. Everybody thinking they HAD A RIGHT to play sports and we the watchers should help them become millionaires. Finally, I simply grew tired of it. Boxing was one of the very first sports I quit watching. I quit watching the NFL, NBA, MLB, college basketball AND even Alabama football. Bama is winning under Saban, but I don't like the guy and don't watch them play any more. I grew up and got a life. Watching sports on the couch for 10 hours every day was out. I started to find other things to deal in my life. Sports went out. Life came in. AND life has gone on and I don't miss it one bit. Congrads to the guy who won, even though I don't know one danged thing about him!!
Masterful performance by Fury. He completely changed his tactics from the first fight. He pursued Wilder and still managed the distance between them. Wilder was not expecting that at all. Having to back up negated his punching power. The Sweet Science at work.
