The sanders forces have a whole ad and outreach campaign targeting Hispanics, such as an event I recently read about, lTacos with Tío Bernie.” Tío means Uncle, and he’s being presented as warm and fuzzy. You know, sort of like “Uncle” Joe Stalin, one of the left’s favorite terms of endearment for this mass murdering lunatic during his lifetime. And of course there’s the pandering: no ICE, no enforcement of immigration laws, and everything for free.
That said, the GOP has to do better on Hispanic outreach, because, particularly on the East Coast, Trump is fairly popular among Hispanics and Marxism is not. Hispanics in the East usually are not Mexicans, but Venezuelans, Cubans, El Salvadorans, etc., many of who had fled their countries because of Marxism.
Hispanics like his style and personality, so I think we need to capitalize on this and do some major personal outreach to this voting group.
I was talking to a new Pharmacist with $180,000 in student loans. He’s voting for Bernie because of them. He even said if not for the loans he would be all for DJT.
It would be great if Republicans would take on the colleges for the exorbitant prices they charge, and the salaries paid to non-teaching administrators and the number of them. Talk about the many frivolous required classes. Go after the endowments. Talk about the outrageous housing and food costs. Let them know this is why college costs so much.
There has to be a way to address the loans without forgiveness. I don’t know what it is, but these kids and their parents were sold a bill of goods when they were in high school.
One can do all the math one want’s and the impact will be 0. These are the “true believers”. The ones who think they’re getting “free healthcare”, their tuition forgiven, and various other giveaways, with no consequence to their lifestyle or the economy. (see tagline)

Exactly. They haven't let other non-democRATS run on their ticket in the past. Ralph Nader is a prime-example.
But now the democRATS have waited too long to yank Bernie. One, he's leading the pack. And two, his followers are loyal and most won't vote at all if he's denied again. But they won't miraculously switch to an alternative democRAT candidate.

The effort of Dems to get Trumps cabinet to “25 amendmentize” Trump is signal where I think they’ll go if Bernie wins. He’ll get pared up with a more moderate Dem VP, then they’ll get the cabinet and deep staters to certify that ‘crazy bernie’ is truly crazy and then the Vp takes over. A vp I might add that could still run for Prez 2 more times.

It is not the total vote Trump needs to worry about. It is the Electoral vote. He has got to win all those states that the republicans usually do not win. He needs to carry all those northern states he carried before, plus Fla and Texas. NY, NJ, Mass, WA state, Ore, Kaliforniastan, are all commie and no need to spend a dime to win those cause Trump will not win those. Just campaign the hell out of those he won last time. The total vote does not matter. He lost it last time anyway.

Don’t mean to be crass, but work to pay if off.
Any student willing to incur $200k in debt should be aiming for a professional career. A $2k monthly loan payment over 10 years seems reasonable. Making $120k @ 35 YO with the loans paid off isn’t a bad outcome.
Sanders is fostering the environment of irresponsibility.
Overall, exactly right. For DemoKKKrats to win, they have to
1) Begin to celebrate American greatness
2) not just cut loose the Berniebots, but attack socialism and make a case why it’s horrible (which, of course, only helps Trump, cuz he’s the only one saying it)
3) unite behind one other than Mini-Mike. (No, it won’t be Big Mike or Cankles. It will have to be one of the dwarfs).
However, I think you’re wrong. Dinobernie will get the necessary delegates. As more outwardly lefty candidates drop out, they will instruct their delegates to go with Dinobernie. But he may get there on his own.
I think the loans should be written down to say 10 to 20 cents on the dollar or allowed to be included in any bankruptsy proceedings for those who simply can’t pay them.
It would be political winner for Trump to support a loan mark down in that folks might be willing to pay at least a portion of the debt to save some face and to get their debt burden eased. The people who agree to such write downs would have to do some sort of credit and budgeting courses and have restricted credit options for a few years. Special one time tax incentives could be offered to folks who have paid all their student loans and perhaps a full refund of the interest they paid.
There is a student loan debt issue and the greedy ones are willing to bring down sensible government to avoid paying it. Yet there just are not enough jobs or money in the world for all of these people to pay the loans back. A write down might be a better alternative than letting the greedy ones get away with not paying anything at all.
