Thats what is needed, more people explaining that capitalism is NOT a dirty word. Its what kept your parents from taking all the money you made at your lemonade stand when you were 6 years old.
Every boss I have had in my life has been a good person. I once worked for a man who was hated by his employees, but what they didnt know is he was hocking almost everything he owned just to make sure no one was laid off and there was money to cover payroll. A lifetime of investments, careful land buys, gone in a few years for people who were too dumb to see what he was doing for them.
Thats why I appreciate Trump so much. He has been up and he has been down and no matter the rough edges some see, I see how soft he is inside (and no, that kind of soft is not a bad thing). Sometimes caring hearts are covered by steel.
I have a friend who has owned his own earth moving, excavation and construction business for more than thirty years. There were times he was within inches of losing his home due to the ups and downs of the business. Last couple of years he’s been scaling back. He’s now 60 and would like to get out and just work for someone else as an operator for a couple of years. Problem is that he still has two employees that have been with him from the start. He feels a responsibility to them as one would to one’s own children. It’s this sense of responsibility that keeps him from closing up shop.
