This article adds some details I hadn’t seen before. The story from Crowdstrike has always been that the hackers transferred emails from a DNC server to a remote site over the internet.
What this article indicates is that there is no evidence that the Microsoft Exchange server where the database of email files would have been maintained was hacked. This would have been evident if trojan horse malware had been found by a Crowstrike scan on the MS Exchange server but it wasn’t.
This has always been the key to the entire IC assessment finding that Russia hacked the DNC server to help Trump win in 2016. Their story is falling apart.
