A woman who severed nearly a decade behind bars for her role in a health care and money laundering scheme returned to Miami-Dade County early Wednesday morning.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday commuted the prison sentence of Judith Negron, who was serving time for her role in a $205 million Medicare fraud scheme back in 2011.
Negron, now 48, was found guilty of numerous felony counts....

Through gritted teeth the Trump-hating Miami media is reporting this act of mercy on the part of the President.
I dont have any problem with people who are guilty of non violent crimes dont have to spend years locked up as long as they have to spend the rest of their life as WalMart greeters or whatever. If they go on to get million dollar jobs through Soros or CNN we have a problem.
I mean, if you are really that upset with Miliken you should be able to go online and find out which drive through window he is working at and drive through just so you can hear him say Fries with that?
Sentence commutation does not vacate the felony conviction. It is not a pardon. They are still convicted felons and subject to those same restrictions as any other convicted felon.
205 million dollars?
That was a crime of GREAT viol3ence.
How many lifetime earnings of average folks does that represent?
Just ‘cuz the pain was spread out, doesn’t make it better.
Hence the future as a WalMart Greeter.
If the alternative is locking them up for ten years at a cost of $40,000 a year or turning them lose to live a life of fries with that on their own dime I know what I choose.
I was thinking more about a public execution.
Or a Chinese style organ harvest.
These punishments should be reserved for political crimes.
As far as I know, you can’t get that position at Walmart if you are a felon.
Actually, he’s 73. He’s not likely going to be around much longer - have heard that his health is failing, and they don’t hire 73 year olds for fast food work.
Commutation for crimes like this should be a choice between staying where one is or a room with a gun with one round in the chamber. In my view, a “white collar crime” is no different than one of violence as the only difference is the access the perp has to ones property. Stealing millions is a serious offense and even if it was on “the government” it was basically a dollar from every voter. IMO, the long sentence serves as a warning to others.

So...a FREE Citizens?? We don’t have a caste system here in the U.S.
Launder 5 billion dollars? Let her rot in there until she dies.
What’s all this crap with non-violent felonies not needing that much time in prison? They destroy the economy. They sell narcotics which are incredibly violent because they’re destroying lives. Let’s wake up
Severed?
Think of the benefit to society having a bunch of self selected people who have to work low trust jobs will bring. Full service gas stations could be a thing again. Fruit and vegetable pickers who arent here illegally. Many such cases.
But of course:
If the sentence was severe, and the time she served was shortened, her sentence WAS “severed” :)!
Unfortunately, as a practical matter, we do. Just ask G. Gordon Liddy what he’s not legally allowed to do.
That must’ve hurt.
