Uh, no. If they wish to DEMAND, they need to take some lessons from grrrrrreta on how to accomplish, well, nothing, with your DEMANDS. Of course there is always the option to leave the company. Of their own free will. Terminating them might lead to some secret back doors or other nefarious computer coronaviruses.

It doesn’t even say “some” employees.
It’s a ridiculous assumption that it’s all.
Plus who cares?
What are they gonna call a strike? :)
They’re not a government union.
The only real damage they can do is sabotage the company by messing up their work.
That can do some damage. But eventually you get caught and then you’re in real trouble.

I wonder what the number actually is.
And what is the number of people who were too terrified not to hop on board?

One current Oracle employee discussed the fundraiser with Recode stating: It signals what I and many others have always feared. Culturally, Oracle is the type of place where youll work with many lovely people who you share common ideals with, but those ideals have to be left at the door in service of the company. Now you see right here is the problem in a nutshell. So backasswards! When at work the common ideal is to do what you are paid to do, and unless it's to be a social justus warrior than leave your politics and opinions at the front door of the workplace and pick them up on the way home.
It is no incumbent on the employer to bent to the socio political whims of the employee. If the employee does everything to present a clean safe workplace and delivers on it's commitments of pay and benefits so that the only bitch is 'some' employees unrealistic demand that the employer conform to the employees personal world view? That employee has two choices, shut up and do the job they signed onto or GTFO and try a find a job where the owner let's the help tell him how to think, vote, live.
Liberalism, it's a disease.

Tell them to put it in writing with their names.
When they turn it in, fire them.
