Then why is President Trump complaining on Twitter? He can just fire them all tomorrow and replace them with his own appointees.

McConnell’s GOP Senate has already publicly threatened POTUS not to fire one AG. Barr has complete top cover from them and you know it.

President Trump had quite a few options to name a U.S. Attorney General in an interim capacity if he felt hamstrung by the Senate.

That's how Matthew Whitaker ended up serving in that role after Sessions left -- right?
