Why work someplace where you have to be searched?
I can think of several places: retail diamond store, valuable coin collector, etc.
I can understand Apple not wanting to lose product to theft but... This seems more than a little extreme. It shows a tremendous lack of respect and trust in the employees. If you treat people like children, they tend to act like children and see what they can get away with.
Is that the new iPhone in your pants or are you just glad to see me?
“Why work someplace where you have to be searched?”
Airports, schools, banks, drug companies, military bases, CIA headquarters, NSA headquarters, court houses...
I worked many years in Space/Defense. You are required (rightfully so IMO) to submit to being searched entering OR exiting those facilities. I also worked in/out of minimum to maximum security prison facilities and you ain't been searched until you've enjoyed that! (TSA style) I was actually treated better entering and exiting the Federal Reserve facilities. There at least you were personally monitored during your entire visit. I was once told by my escort that I seemed to be a bit more than mesmerized by the whirring printing of money. I was told I needed to avoid giving that appearance or they would pull my badge. He said it with a steely glint so I took him seriously.
Maybe it was the drooling that gave me away.
