The main problem is the ban on access to DMV data. If Cuomo persists I think it will come to that. If the feds can’t verify your license is genuine and you aren’t wanted how do they let you board or cross the border?
After 9/11, you’d think that NY would be first in line to want to track and get rid of people wanting to game the ID system. Those drivers licenses and trusted traveler IDs are something every terrorist dreams of having.
