I didn’t bring up Eisenhower and the Mil/Industrial complex in this thread sport. I brought up JFK and Truman. JFK said he wanted to smash the CIA and scatter it to the winds. They blew his head off.
Exactly a month after Lee Harvey Oswald “acted alone”, and the nation was still in shock, Truman put an Op/Ed in the Washington Post saying he regretted ever creating them and they have grown in a direction that was casting a shadow on our free institutions and our free and open society.
I agree with them and think it’s time the CIA is disbanded.
Oh, well that makes all the difference since Truman came before Eisenhower. /s
