I have it on good authority that the following Democrat State Senators are wishy-washy on HB 961.
Senator Boysko (804) 698-7533
Senator Deeds (804) 698-7525
Senator Petersen (804) 698-7534
Senator Lewis (804) 698-7506
Senator Edwards (804) 698-7521
Please spread this information to any and all Virginia FReepers you know.
Thank you & FRegards,

Will do. Thanks for the ping.
You are welcome. We need all the phone calls we can muster. If we can flip two of these guys, the bill doesn’t pass.
Deeds needs his butt kicked. His is a district where the majority of people own firearms and are avid hunters.
that is why he may be likely to flip, and we only need two of those senators to flip to kill the bill.
How about the poster and commenters telling us readers what the bill is all about and why we should not vote for it?
Will do.
Here is where the HB 961 can be found, pdf version is available for download

HB 961, Delegate Mark Levine’s “assault weapon,” higher-capacity magazine, and suppressor ban cleared the House Public Safety committee by a 12 to 9 party line vote. The bill that passed was a substitute that made a few insignificant changes to the original bill. HB 961 no longer requires registration for current owners to keep their “assault weapon” (no new “assault weapons” can be purchased) and it raises the legal capacity-limit for magazines from 10 rounds to 12 rounds.
Bad votes are in red:
YEAS—Hope, Bourne, Plum, Kory, Lopez, Rasoul, Price, Levine, Carroll Foy, Helmer, Simonds, Jenkins—12.
NAYS—Wright, Robinson, Wilt, Fariss, Rush, Davis, Campbell, R.R., Coyner, Batten—9.
ABSTENTIONS—Cole, J.G.—1.

The bill now heads to the House Floor. If it passes there, it will head over to the Senate, where we have a much better chance of stopping it. Be ready to fill the building when it comes up in the Senate Judiciary committee sometime in the coming weeks.
I did a video with much more information today. Click here to watch it.

Why so they can ignore us like Dan Helmer and Dave Marsden? They hate you, folks. They want you dead and they want to use the force of government and lawfare to lead to your demise.

These guys are worried because they can see just how severe the backlash has been. If they vote for this they will have to leave the state when the conservatives retake it. Play on that, and maybe two of them will flip and kill the bill.
It does not matter if you make them flip. Look at Daniel Helmer’s bills. He and his ilk are criminal leftists who could not care one bit about the Bill of Rights. They are simply the reincarnation of the criminal oligarchs of old who want to make everyone, other then their small cabal of cohorts, into surfs.

so you are of the mind not to try a peaceful resolution? You want to go full on CW2 and be required to slaughter 120 million Americans to get what you want?

> to get what you want?
Get what we want? What are you talking about.
We’re talking about basic natural human rights and our Constitution.
