Dec 21, 2016 · The carbon dioxide would remain in the earth, and at very large volumes the project is expected to store 4.2 million tons of carbon dioxide per year, which is larger than most other industrial scale carbon capture and storage projects that have been either proposed or realized so far.
New Mexico is drooling over the idea as well.

Representative Dan Crenshaw, joined by Representatives Cuellar (TX-28), Flores (TX-17), Gonzalez (TX-15), Lamb (PA-17), Lucas (OK-3) and Walberg (MI-7), introduced the Launching Energy Advancement and Development through Innovations for Natural Gas (LEADING) Act of 2019. The legislation prioritizes research and development funding for technology that captures carbon emissions by instructing the Department of Energy to utilize up to $50 million each year of existing funds. Ultimately, the bill seeks to develop more carbon capture technology to make it more accessible, resulting in widespread use and lower carbon emissions from power plants across the country. “United States to work toward a global goal of planting a trillion trees.”
To offset the trillions being cut down in the Amazon basin??
I know, the the global warming idiots don’t. About 4 year ago I read where they were going to take CO2 out of the atmosphere. I thought, I hope that they wait until I am dead and gone and take it all out.
And this shows that climate change is bogus...
Plant a Trillion trees and watch them burn your State to the ground 40 years later. Not only will they release ALL their carbon at once, but also add thousands of your citizens and their homes worth.
Add flavor and one gets Calistoga Sparkling Mineral Water. The Orange or Lime flavors were popular.
Kommunists!
Yup. the whole solar system is warming, ie Mars, Jupiter etc. But do not ask Earth flatter to figure the planets are round
How many of you remember the pollution coming from many of the production companies through the 1970s, before they threw fits and moved production overseas? It wasn’t about carbon or global warming. It was about corrosives in the air, human waste in rivers, etc.
If the really nasty stuff is captured by some companies that must deal with it as a byproduct, we won’t see the deluge of complaints and political moves against U.S. production. Fewer voters would vote against the interests of those companies. Fewer voters would be fooled by foreign complaints against U.S. production.
It’s about avoiding the mistakes made with pollution in China now, and national security would be enhanced by production right here.
“Incentives,” yes. Penalties, no.
We have too many trees. Forests are too dense which increases fire danger and wild fires.
Grasslands are more efficient than forests....
