White House expected to drop Pentagon nominee Elaine McCusker amid Ukraine fallout

The White House is expected to pull the nomination of Elaine McCusker to be the Pentagon’s comptroller and chief financial officer in the latest staffing fallout from President Trump’s impeachment, The Post has learned.

McCusker resisted the president’s directive to stall about $250 million in military aid to Ukraine and her emails protesting the delay were leaked in January to the blog Just Security ahead of Trump’s Senate trial.

“This administration needs people who are committed to implementing the president’s agenda, specifically on foreign policy, and not trying to thwart it,” a White House official told The Post.

Maybe Ukraine needed that money to pay Hunter Biden’s salary.

"...to drop Pentagon nominee Elaine McCusker amid Ukraine..."

Would preferred to be reading "to drop Pentagon treasonous-nominee Elaine McCusker into the nearby Potomac..."

She probably would have been ok had she not leaked her e-mails to lawfare/justsecurity, blogs belonging to the far left groups who worked directly with the dems to plan and organize the coup. The leaks basically outed her as a conspirator and traitor.

Actually this is better as it demonstrates to the country the depth of corruption and creates the support amongst a majority of folks to have a mass purge of individuals like this which is required.

Keep them around long enough to get the goods on their activities, then turn them loose to implicate others in their cabal.

To air your views to the president is one thing. That’s why he has the full spectrum of opinions on his staff - to avoid groupthink. But to leak to the media - that’s insubordination.

Another burrowing Democrat who thinks that she determines National Foreign Policy, and not the President, who is so designated by Article II of the Constitution. Good riddance, more coming.

Well, hey! Don’t we understand, yet? Between 10 to 25% of “Foreign Aid” finds its way back to DC as kickbacks to the Deep State. In this case, it would be between $25 and $60 Million. If the aid money is held up and delayed, the DS in DC with their hands out are going to get impatient. The poor woman was merely doing a CYA in resisting the delay in sending the money to Ukraine.

should have been done day 1

There is a good reason why that was not possible. A standard Democrat scheme since the Clinton Administration has been to transfer political appointees to Civil Service positions whenever a Republican Administration comes in. Once done, those people are protected by Civil Service regulations and essentially cannot be fired. Once the dust settles, these people can obtain SES positions or political appointments and thereby get back into key positions where they can act as moles. Much of this goes on because the Republicans don't pay attention and allows the Democrats to control the bureaucracy no matter who is in the White House.

While Trump intended to put an end to this, the Mueller Investigation, the impeachment fiasco, and other schemes were all about preventing or delaying the Trump plan to stop in infiltration. He is now on the attack.
