I appreciate Annie Lobert, but her organization is always on the edge of disaster. She takes on more sex workers than her organization has money coming in to support. If the garage door breaks or the stove goes out they are in trouble.
She needs to do better with what she has before being funded to take care of more people.
I don’t think she was necessarily treated unfairly.
I think an accountant looked at her books in the application process and threw up his hands.
I’ve been on her mailing list for over a decade, and each time she asks for help in the latest crisis I have to look at the situation and evaluate how much more money is going to help whoever’s in her residential program at the time.
Not everything she tries to fix with money can be fixed with money, and she needs to keep a separate account adequate to maintain the facilities.

There is an appeal process in the grants system. WB is not intended to circumvent that.
Agreed. The guv is terrible at giving out grants. Just shouldn’t do it.
