Barr is just playing the cautious adult to avoid getting into the “bombshell” press release game with the press. He talks softly but carries a big stick. I don’t know how there can be any question that Biden confessed to bribery unless the Russians created the CFR tape. The money laundering evidence regarding the payments to Hunter Biden are also from Latvian banking officials and have been reviewed by the USDOS since they demanded the amounts for Hunter and Devon Archer be redacted from the original document. It was only by corroborating this document with Devon Archer’s bank records from his criminal trial that the amounts became known. The testimony from Shokin corroborates Biden’s own statement about his firing.
The real smoking guns are the telephone recordings or transcripts that took place between Biden and Poroshenko just prior to the demand to fire Shokin in 2015. If Biden discusses knowledge of Burisma or the prosecutor investigation on any of these calls it is the “nail in the coffin” to his being charged with bribery. This should be the first evidence that Barr/Durham demands from the State Department.
