He is not well-regarded by his colleagues. The NSC is bloated and made up largely of deep staters. Trump’s NSA O’Brien said the quickest way to clean out the NSC would be to reduce the number of members from 420 to 140. That makes a lot of sense.

When the “National Security Council” is almost as large as Congress, it ain’t a council anymore. It’s a government.
The news is coming out 0bama did an Iran/Contra thing to fund an illegally financed illegal war against Russia in the Ukraine. These people were all in on it. Trump wasn’t told, apparently and when he found out the SHTF.
Hope they take away his “security clearance” and computer access, but it seems like those are left alone for months or years after people are gone.
And forfeit his pension. His behavior was grossly insubordinate. He told Ukrainian officials to ignore President Trump. Any officer questioning the authority of the President should be cashiered immediately. Vindman complained that Trump was undermining U.S. foreign policy as it relates to Ukraine. Who, the Hell does he think he is? Who, exactly, does he think determines what is and is not U.S. foreign policy?
If he believes that the President's actions are unlawful, he should file a whistleblower complaint and be prepared to resign. Or STFU.

But when all is said and done, Vindman was wearing his full military uniform and all his medals......the whole magillah. It's not like he was going to be misidentified as a bus driver! :-)
