That would actually be the most effective way for a Dem POTUS to fend off a revenge impeachment by a GOP Congress.
If I were the President and she was my VP, I’d want a food taster! She knows people.

She made a lot of promises for Clinton Foundation donations... many of those promises to hostile nations. I’m sure they would like some of that influence they bought.
They might want a refund... or worse.

I've been saying that since about a month after the election when she started showing up in random spots "surprising" people with how normal and spry she is by, for example taking her dogs for a walk in the woods and unexpectedly bumping into locals (right in front of cameras, of course). I have been told I'm being silly. But we'll see in a few months, won't we?
Whoever chooses her as a running mate has a death wish.
Keeping her options open. Chance she’ll be able to parachute in are probably slim to none but stranger things have happened.
Then when Trump won, she suddenly found that these evil donors are not going to accept a refund of the funds and are still holding her feet to the fire for the promises she made to them.
I think that since election night, for the first time in her life, she is sh!t scared for her life from those people she took the money from.
