PALM CITY, Fla. A stranded motorist fatally shot a Florida Highway Patrol trooper alongside Interstate 95 on Wednesday before he was killed by a passing police officer, the agency said.
Trooper Joseph Bullock, 42, died in a shooting about 10:15 a.m. near Palm City, about a 45-minute drive north of West Palm Beach, said Col. Gene Spaulding, the agency's commander. He said a passing police officer from Riviera Beach fatally shot the suspect, whose name has not been released.

There has not been anything released about the dead killer and any motive for the shooting.
Forgive me if I won’t immediately believe the police narrative on this incident. I’ll wait for corresponding dash cam and body cam evidence before I assign my sympathies.
Where’s the info on the shooter?
must be from one of the "protected" classes.
Witnesses are shedding light on the frightful moments right before a man opened fire and killed a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on Wednesday morning.
Trooper Joseph Bullock was assisting a disabled vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 107, just south of Martin Highway.
Authorities said the suspect, who was with the disabled vehicle, opened fire, shooting and killing the 42-year-old trooper.
A tow truck driver who was called to help at the scene told witnesses the suspect was irate at having to pay to tow his car.

Wait until you see that lawyer bill for a capital murder trial.
Line of Duty Death ping.
FReepmail me to be added to the Line of Duty Death ping list.
You are not permitted to know that.
Really? Suit yourself.
First reports read that the trooper’s killer committed suicide. It was only later that it was confirmed a passing policeman had shot and killed the killer. So money saved.
I did not know of such a ping. Sorry for not letting you know of this.
Really.
When the FHP first reported the story they said the suspect had killed himself.
Now they say a passing cop from a 30-mile distant jurisdiction shot the suspect.
Whenever the cops are unable to get their stories straight I know better than to try to believe whatever they say next.
Wheres the info on the shooter?
We will find out soon enough and assign blame on his class.
Prayers up for my Brother in Blue and his family.
Sounds like there were plenty of witnesses
Very brave people sometimes meet very difficult endings. I am praying for his family and hope God will give them the strength and courage to face these terrible days. Same for the family of the Alabama cop also killed in the last few days.
RIP and prayers up.
Memory Eternal.
