I say their land simply because the Palestinians are there, and have been there for hundreds of years. They are on the land their great-grandfathers owned. That might not be a legal claim, but it is a fact.

I agree. This is not a land dispute that can be permanently settled by some compromise. The Palestinians want it all, including all of Israel. So I really dont think there is any good solution here. Israel will have to remain armed and vigilant forever.

Most of their ancestors were not land owners in any way shape or form. Most of the land was owned by absentee landlords who were more then happy to sell when those silly Jews came along and offered to buy that worthless sandbox starting in the late 1800s.
