Manchin . . . .nothing but an opportunistic snake in the grass.

This just goes to show that one should never vote for a Democrat. Even one that appears moderate or decent will sooner or later turn out to be a snake in the grass.

This whole impeachment charade began with Eric Ciaramella and Adam Schiff concocting a hypothetical motive for a passing comment by Trump in his phone call of July 25. They have no real knowledge of what was in Trump's mind when he mentioned Biden. If you read the transcript, it is obviously a reaction to the infamous video of Biden bragging about getting the prosecutor fired. That Trump at that moment was thinking that Biden would be his opponent in the general election and that he needed help from Ukraine to get "dirt" on Biden is very unlikely, in my opinion. He didn't need new dirt (if Biden were to become the nominee)--Biden had already furnished it.

Saying this is making a mountain out of a molehill isn't quite right since molehills at least have some substance.

“Censure Schiff for the false transcript and Pelosi for destroying a government document with contempt calling it completely false with not a single truth in it.”

She is also in Gross violation of The House Rules of Conduct.

There should be a call for her resignation. She is clearly UNFIT to hold office.

Manchin is a joke.

He votes against the rights of the American people over and over - and then runs commercials of him firing guns when Election season rolls around.

Guess what, they fall for it every time.

He backed Obama consistently.

Manchin is the ranking member of the energy committee = pork for his state. Vote to acquit = losing that perch. GOP Senators like Romney face no similar issues because McConnell is weak.

That, and he’s probably under a lot of pressure because he’s the lone Democrat in the Senate who isn’t a 100% loony-tune liberal, and his party wants very much for the vote to acquit to NOT be “bipartisan”.

So they give him this incoherent speech to read in order to to “explain” his vote, not figuring that anyone whose opinion matters will notice or care that the speech is pure idiocy.

Yes it was. You can thank the GOP controlled Senate for not impeaching the credibility of the Dem impeachment hoaxers. Had they sought to gather their own facts it would have put the Dems off balance and delayed their impeachment hoax by months. Instead, McConnnell & crew green lighted impeachment via their inaction. Now here we are still waiting for the partisan facts to be revealed.

No doubt, Schmukie wasn’t about to allow any defections. The rats didn’t fool around. You are right Mitch is weak. Yes he got the main goals done (no new witnesses and the Acquittal) but Schumer would not allow a punk like Mitt to embarrass their sitting President. No way.

No witnesses were for the benefit of the Senate. Not President Trump. You think Collins and Murkowski wanted to sit there while House Dems dunked on them like LeBron and insulted them over and over? Not a chance. They wanted the trial over as quick as possible fore purely selfish reasons. Nobody was watching, anyway. Witnesses would have brought drama and viewers.

Now the do-nothing GOP Senate will resume do what they do best: nothing. Meanwhile, the House Dems will continue assaulting POTUS and his supporters until election day.

The GOP Senate has aided and abetted the ongoing coup against POTUS for 3 years. Longer if you count the campaign. They are not going to stop now.

I don’t disagree with you at all. The no witness thing was self serving I have no doubt. Allowing that cuck Mitt to betray our President is a disgrace. Schmukie wouldn’t allow that for a minute.

1. WV is a democrat state. Goes back generations. Family tradition.
2. Majority of local offices held by democrats. Very strong democrat unions. Teacher union owns local politicians.
3. Only recently have voter registrations begun to shift. Legislative and state-wide offices started shifting to republicans.
4.Republican party apparatus at local and state level doesn’t exist. They are a joke.
5.Democrats see no contradiction in voting for Trump and then down ballot for democrats.
6. West Virginians see no contradiction in strong gun rights (constitutional carry) and love of government programs.
7. WV leads in obesity, opioid deaths, addictions, welfare, SSI, lack of work ethic. Republican ideas and policies are hardly their priority.
8. You have to be local, born here, which means you most likely came from democrat family. No one expects that a President has to be born here.
9. Very small state in population. Everyone knows everyone. Democrat families produce democrat candidates. Same democrat family clans control localities for generations.
10. Outside of Charleston, extremely bifurcated media and cultural markets. Eastern panhandle married to D.C. and Virginia. Northern panhandle to Pittsburgh. Far eastern WV to Ohio. Southern WV to Kentucky.
11. Appalachian heritage resists change. Republicans at local and state level is a change. Trump doesn’t represent change actually represents preservation. The Hilary’s and Biden’s, etc. do.represent change to tradition.
12. Manchin is local. No republican local has the same name recognition.
