What I think is being missed about this SOTU speech is the political capital it’ll provide for many of those in Congress looking for reelection. How many D’s had a glum look when achievements, that everyone sees, were not to be celebrated.
This speech was multi-dimensional. All for 2020 for everyone. The D’s just imploded...and I think they know it.

Someone needs to do a collage of her act with pictures of the 100-year old Tuskegee airman and the little girl who won the scholarship. It would make for a great campaign ad to try and take back the House.
