Actually, what you, and almost every post on this thread are saying (Shift is insane), are missing what he was really doing. What he said was not insane, what he pitched to Murkowski was as shrewd a political tactic as any of us have seen used by any used car salesman.
It didn’t matter beans to shifty if he thought Trump actually would sell Alaska, Alaska has historically not been in the democrats pocket.
