Report from my Caucus. IT WAS PACKED...way more people than 2016! I would guess 2000 or so. We had Lara Trump, Weld & Walsh, plus our local IA Senate & House members.
Weld was politely received; Walsh was booed & people were yelling at him after he remarked that President Trump’s tweets are making Republicans the party of old, white men. Half of us in the audience were women...waving our “Women for Trump” Signs. It was FUN for a change:)
(More details): Walsh was basically booed off the stage...and it was WOMEN leading the heckling. Here we are with this sham “impeachment” & Rush Limbaugh’s sad news...no one was in the mood to put up with his crap! He exited to chants of “Four More Years!”
The thought that American voters might not be buying what the Democrats have to sell doesn't seem to have occurred to the writer.

i strongly suspect that Trump’s “formidable turnout machine” is mostly a function of signing up volunteers as his rallies ...
btw, how delightful is it to see the change in reporting of 2016 that “he’s got no ground game” to “Trump’s formidable turnout machine”?
