Currently, my attitude is that should it get so bad I need to wear a mask when I leave home, I’m not going out.

At home, you do the best you can, but you do live in the same house and with all of the contact possibilities, I think a mask becomes superfluous.

Good thinking. A mask within an inch of the face doesn't stop something as small as a virus from getting in. It only keeps the virus from jetting out far from an infected person. It protects people from an infected person wearing the mask.

There are some masks made for warfare that will work with much training...somewhat. But those are mucho expensive and even harder to get. And the filters for those are harder to get, yet.

Stocking up now is smart.
