What exactly is “sensible” in your opinion?
Well, let's see. I want people who come here to want to be Americans, be proud to wave the American flag and not wave the flag of Mexico or Guatemala for example. They should not be a burden on our medical system. They should have the means or a skill to support themselves and their families and not be a burden on our welfare system. Until they become a citizen, no immigrant should be eligible for welfare or long term medical care. If they have a long term medical problem we should treat them of course, stabilize their condition, and send them home. People born here should only be citizens if their mothers are in the country legally. In short, they should integrate with America and not expect us to become like them.
