Why T72s?

The armor on those is crap. A Carl Gustav would have a chance of penetrating even in the heavier front armor.

The reactive armor of the B3 mod wont help for long in a sustained fight.

And 20 whole tanks? That’s what, a company’s worth?

Iirc, tank platoons in a motorized infantry outfit were 5 tanks and those in an armor outfit were 4 tanks per platoon. And then the company command tank.

Point is they have thousands of t72’s in storage;

For 1 NEW Armata ; 4 - T72 ‘s can be upgraded to T72 New ; these tanks cut up Ukrainian Armor ; they are good enough to mass deploy;

Getmany does not even have functioning air force but they do have windmill’s

Back in the day the tank platoons in Soviet TD (Tank Division)had 3 tanks per platoon, 31 per battalion and 95 or so in a regiment. In an MRD (Motorized Rifle Division aka Mech infantry) the tank platoons had 4 tanks.
