I did not care for it, hate the music and the performers were not what I would listen to on any given day.
Exactly my thoughts. I am no prude but geesh, last thing I wanted to see were stripper poles and a lot of booty shaking.

I will say that the pre-game patriotic portions of the programming were spectacular. You could tell they were trying to speak to the baby boomers, let them know they haven’t totally bagged on the nation. Pretty hard to believe them sometimes.
Demi Levato did a very nice job on the anthem. God Bless America, Ted Turner’s idea of what our nation anthem should be, always rubs me the wrong way,
Look, I have no problem with the words, the religious theme, the premise of God Blessing our nation, but it’s there to pacify the Leftists who hate our anthem. It’s there to become sort of the anthem for those who hate what really is our anthem.
I know some folks will disagree with me. I have very strong feelings about our nation, and respect for the things that truly are our official this or that.
Folks, I’m a red blooded male, but do I really have to stare at some female star’s crotch for a good portion of the half-time?
If they thought they were enticing the male viewers to stick with the show, they sure lost with me.
The singing wasn’t half bad. The dancing was just too much. The little kids on the field left me thinking they fell flat on their face with the “Awww” moment that just didn’t happen for me.
Football is a contact sport. It’s rough and a military like operation moving down field advancing the campaign to the end zone.
All of a sudden the game stops for a few minutes, and out come all the female oriented programming. What are the men supposed to do? Git up and leave. That entertainment has no place being mixed in with the programming we’re all there to see.
Rough tough sports. Kiddies on the field. A strip show. Pole dancing. Crotches enough to make you think you’re watching a feminine products commercial for items down there.
Everyone has a phone on the field. My isn’t that refreshing. BORING!
I’m sitting in a room with women and men. The women are talking about the women in the program presenting a program that makes them somewhat uncomfortable.
What the heck? If I want to go to a strip club, I’ll go to strip club. I won’t be going, and I wouldn’t take a wife or girl-friend if I did. Why would I want to sit in a mixed gender setting, with that crap on the television?
Fox coverage of the game was excellent. The guys they have hired to do the show, are very very good. Bradshaw, Johnson, Long, and others were stellar. They really know what they are talking about.
The video of the game is just amazing.
At any rate, I wish they’d find something better to do during the half-time shows.

This is a men’s sports game, rough, tough, high impact, and hard fought. Children?
It’s just insulting how they have to tear into a man’s time to enjoy something of a man’s nature, to turn it into a soft “aww isn’t that cute” moment.
Gag me.
If they want to come up with something women will want to watch, put a two or three hour slot after the game, or before the game and have at it.
Then frame the programming around men.
We don’t come in and tell women how they need to change their shows to attract us. We want you to have your own shows. How about letting us have one day a year when the programming is about us?
I thought it was horrible. If that is what passes for entertainment, we are in trouble.
The half-time show was pure sleaze. And I normally have no problem with Shakira or Jennifer Lopez, but what they did tonight was disgusting.

Reagan had to take Bush as his VP in order to win the support of the GOP Establishment.
People don’t remember that the Establishment GOP didn’t like and didn’t want Reagan. They wanted Howard Baker or GHW Bush, among others.
His own choice would have been Paul Laxalt, his “First Friend”, who was Nevada Governor when Reagan was Governor of California. They were ideological twins.

This just in: Jeb Bush is sleeping on the couch tonight.
I didn’t have to watch the halftime show with my kids or wife, so I was ok with it being as sexualized as it was. With the exception of a few moves where the camera was compelled to fixate on the naughty bits, it’s not much different than any pro cheerleader routine or carnivale display, and not any different than either artist’s normal stage performance.
I’m frankly hoping for a war to break out between the folks who say it’s empowering for a woman in her forties and another woman in her fifties to put on such a show, and the prudes who say it was demeaning to women to allow women put on such a show for a boatload of money and a bump in record sales.
I’ve developed a system for pro sports games. I mute the audio, read, go to the restroom, let the dogs out/in, get a snack and resume the game. Muted or unmuted. Especially the Super Bowl. It’s how in missed half time. What irks me is I did this in self defense. I didn’t have to do this years ago.
