Burgess Owens - there’s a name from when I was a kid. I can still remember Bill King broadcasting Raiders games, calling out that name.
Don’t live there, but if I did, my vote would go to Burgess Owens.
An honest-to-goodness American Man.
If we follow his guidelines, we can make more like him.
Our country needs this in droves.
A simple, straightforward, clear-as-a-bell message....
Here’s hoping he has success in his congressional race.
I well remember his playing days also, he was great player though I was an LA Ram fan at the time because of my residence.
I would surely vote for him if I lived in that UT district.
1. Is he Republican? Does he know who freed his ancestor?
2. I doubt his grandfather got the 40 acres. Too much time has passed. Unless his grandfather was 16 when he got the land and had a kid in his 80s. And his kid had a child in HIS 80s.

If his grandfather was 20 when he got the land and had a son in 1900 he would have been 55.
Burgess was born in 1951 so his dad would have been 51.
Love was an up and coming star in the GOP but decided to side with the Romney wing and dis Trump.
Owens has the triple advantage of being authentically conservative, being black enough to appeal to white guilt and sharing the last name of probably the most prominent political democrat family in Utah before the party went full leftard.
