I would like to think that the Republicans are learning from this.

A few have. Most have not. But Bernie may be the game changer.

I like Jay, but his son should be nowhere near this issue (or any other issue of importance). I watched him twice on Fox and he is an idiot. Couldn’t talk his way out of a paper bag. I’d be pretty mad to find out that money I donated went to pay this guy’s salary.

They need to visit the cases he has won for freedom of religion.

The AssPress is the among the worst and most biased of all the “mainstream” “news.” The venom drips from everything that they write.

Yeah, the AP KNOWS this is a lie.

People have been donating to the ACLJ for 30+ years.
All of that to defend attacks on religious freedom.
It has nothing to do with Trump, as for most of its
existence Trump was not involved in politics.

If I were Sekulow I’d sue their arses.

"The ACLJ, as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, is barred under IRS rules from engaging in partisan political activities."

Is the AP admitting that the impeachment trial is a partisan political effort?

Jay Sekulow created a for-profit firm, apparently precisely to handle this impeachment trial, and that firm has employed him and apparently some other lawyers he knew from his non-profit.

There is zero evidence or suggestion that any money from the ACLJ is being spent by anybody for the Trump defense; Trump is a billionaire, so I’m sure he has no problems paying his lawyers.

I assume the federal government is also paying some money, like for the official government lawyers.

The “steered 65 million” is an hilarious spin by liberal media for “People donated 65 million dollars to pay the salaries of the people who run and work for the charity over 10 years (that’s 6.5 million a year for multiple people, including a highly trained lawyer who fights court cases all the way to the supreme court, and also does a weekly radio show).

Have you ever listened to the daily 1 hour radio broadcast?

Has the ACLU ever argued a partisan political case?

Just for perspective, ACLJ has gross annual revenues of $51 million and earns a B rating from charitywatch.org.

It's nearest leftist equivalent would be the Southern Poverty Law Center with annual revenues of $111 million and an F rating.

So a far worse story about a more than double sized leftist equivalent organization is ignored to highlight a B rating.

They can go after this guy, but the woman who came within a whisker of being the president of our republic? Why hell no!

I’d fight for POTUS.

I’d fight for Jay. He is a good man, one of the best.

These journolist elitist types have no idea what they are provoking.

Did anyone see Fredo Cuomo’s hit job interview with Alan Dershowitz last night? Truly despicable. And it proved why that dumb jackass is called Fredo.

ACLJ was birthed out of CBN back in the 90’s as was the Christian Coalition.

Jay was a pitbull from the get go. Defending religious liberty cases and challenging the corrupt media long before Republicans realized how deadly dangerous the left was.

His performance during the shampeachment trial is his greatest hour.
