Democrat Markowitz loses by 16 pts
RICHMOND Republican Gary Gates has decisively beaten Democrat Eliz Markowitz in the nationally targeted special election runoff for Texas House District 28, a disappointing loss for Democrats who had hoped to use the race to build momentum toward capturing control of the lower chamber in November.
With all vote centers reporting Tuesday night, Gates defeated Markowitz by 16 percentage points, 58% to 42%, according to unofficial results. Gates, a businessman who unsuccessfully ran for office several times before, jumped out to a similar lead after early voting and maintained it throughout the night. He will replace former state Rep. John Zerwas, R-Richmond, whose term doesnt expire until January.
Gates claimed victory while addressing supporters around 9 p.m. here at a Mexican restaurant.
They thought this was a seat they could flip, he said, drawing at least one shout of No way!

Democrats And Beto Lose Badly
Republican Gary Gates on Tuesday won a smashing 16-point victory over Democrat Eliz Markowitz in a special runoff election for a vacant state House seat in the Houston suburbs, where Democrats hoped an upset win would kick-start efforts to wrangle control of the Texas House in 2020.
The contest in Fort Bend, where Beto ORourke lost in his 2018 bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz by 3.14 points, was the 16th best prospect on a list unveiled by Texas Democrats on Monday. The list contains 22 seats that Democrats are targeting in hopes of flipping the nine they need to gain control of the House and the speakership ahead of redistricting in the next session.
Markowitzs defeat was also a setback for ORourke, whose surprisingly strong run against Cruz has become the yardstick of success for heightened Democratic ambitions in Texas in 2020, but whose deep personal involvement in recent weeks working on behalf of Markowitz and drawing volunteers from across the state and the nation to Fort Bend County may have proved a mixed blessing at best.
Does anyone know what the margin was in this district in the last election? That article says that this was 16th on a list of 22 targeted seats, so while the information communicating bodes well for the bottom 6, it tells relatively little about the top 10.
I hope and believe this is representative of what we will see in November. No one but brain dead liberals should be voting for demoncrats.
Somebody from Texas should send Don Lemon a not of thanks.
It is good news, though will be ignored by ABCNNBCBS since it is good news for the repubbies.
Landslide.
Blowout.
Suck it, leftists.
Nuke’Em from Space!

Wether definition is - a male sheep castrated before sexual maturity; also : a castrated male goat.
I’m sure some people on FR are actually saddened by this.
LET'S NOT FORGET: The race was billed as a bellwether,
was supposed to signal Democraps march to victory (on the truckload of impeachment BS).
This spells D_O_O_M for the stupid Democraps.
CNN and MSNBC will announce the democrat candidate almost won. missed it by this much ( )
I read earlier today that the previous margin of victory was plus-nine.
I fully believe Trump is capable of a Reagan style electoral college blowout.
However I fully believe Democrats will commit as much voter fraud as they can, even openly stuffing ballot boxes- in order to win (and stay out of jail)
1) They are desperate
2) There has been no consequences for voter fraud we’ve already discovered.
3) There will certainly be no investigations of voter fraud if they win
WATCH FOR VOTER FRAUD~!!!
TRUMP SHOULD ASK FOR MANDATORY MINIMUM 10 YEARS JAIL FOR VOTER FRAUD.
Not the 3 month slap on the wrist one woman got... who got out of jail and received a STANDING OVATION from democrats.
Just so it is not forgotten:

Democrat came in second, Republican came in next to last.....................
Whoops, I might have misinformed you. A similar story below says PJDT won the district by 10 and the GOP guy won it by 3. I know I read 9 somewhere, but . . . I need another coffee.
Nice....thanks for the links.
