BREAKING: President Trump Announces Historic Middle East Peace Deal

Joined by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House Tuesday afternoon, President Donald Trump announced a new Middle East peace plan between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

"This vision for peace is fundamentally different from past proposals," Trump said. "Complex problems require nuances, fact based remedies."

“I was not elected to do small things or shy away from big problems," he said.

The plan is 80-pages long and according to Trump, is the most comprehensive and detailed ever put forward by the United States. It has been endorsed by Netanyahu and his political opponent, Benny Gantz. Both met with Trump yesterday to go over final details.

"Mr. Prime Minister thank you for having the courage to take this bold step forward," Trump said. "We are not here to lecture—we are not here to tell other people how to live, what to do, who to be, or how to worship.  Instead, we are here to offer partnership – based on shared interests and values – to pursue a better future for us all."

The plan puts a freeze on Israeli settlements for four years, gives Israel sovereignty over the Golan Heights and the Jordan Valley and keeps holy sites in Jerusalem under Israeli security control. The Palestinians, when they meet a list of standards, will be given additional sovereignty of double the territory they occupy now and will see a tunnel connecting Gaza and the West Bank.

Senior White House advisor Jared Kushner, who worked extensively on the plan, was in attendance along with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and former Senator Joe Lieberman. Ambassadors from Oman, the UAE and Bahrain were also in attendance.

"We are asking the Palestinians to meet the challenge of peaceful coexistence," Trump said, issuing a list of conditions for statehood. "We will also work to create a contiguous territory within the future Palestinian state for when the conditions for statehood are met, including the firm rejection of terrorism."

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas is responding to the plan, which he refused to participate in or negotiate, by meeting with terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad. As the deal was announced, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem issued a security notice.

I sure hope the hell this is a Joke? Why does there need to be a peace deal anyway? So we have this, the pandemic and gender/woke madness. We are in the end-times for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the 2nd coming in our near future.

uh....there is no deal.

Just a proposal. And the Palestinians rejected it shortly after it was announced.

Sloppy headline!

All you have to read is the last paragraph.

It’s Business as Usual in the Muddle East...

They should reset to the original Balfor plan and then negotiate a deal to give all or part of Jordan to the Arab Bedouins erroneously labeled as Palestinians.

Trump provides the best climate for Middle East peace that I’ve ever seen, and could ever imagine.

I don’t think he’s suggesting Israel come out on top, so much as both bodies of people could come out on top if they choose to.

Israel would remain safe, and the Arabs would see their standard of living explode to the up-side.

Do I think it will work? Not really, and not for Trump not doing all anyone could do either.

I don’t think the Arab populace has ever been able to grasp how much better off they would be if only they used common sense.

They hate Israel with a passion that supersedes the love of a man and a woman, the love of a family, the love and desire of regional prosperity for like believers.

It’s a shame, but I expect to see the Arabs pluck the fruits of peace with both hands, and toss them into the fires of hell.

Good luck President Trump. I give you sincere kudos for trying.

Would love to be proven wrong.

What commies who despise Israel want are dead Jews, nothing will ever appease them unless there is Jewish blood in the streets

Israel is Israel and no part of it will be given away to her enemies; as if Gaza wasn’t reason enough.

On Twitter, some Arab posted a graphic that showed how the land the Palestinians have has shrunk over the last 40 or 50 years. They seem to be incapable of realizing that their leverage and bargaining power has diminished a great deal, and continues to do so. The smart thing would be to take the best deal offered, and build on it. Of course, they have rejected it, I guess they’re holding out for a worse deal. Eventually, if not very soon, Israel will just quit making offers.

Pro forma exercise. We make decent offer, arabs blow shit up and scream their lungs out. We then take that as a hard “no”, and then we can say we acted in good faith. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Why would they ever accept peace and a normal life?
An Al-Fatah Hezbollah or Hamas fighter\tough guy strutting around with his AK, RPG & bandoliers of ammo & grenades he can take anything he wants do anything he wants. He’s a big important guy! All for the cause of course. The chicks dig him! Go from that to manning a fruit stand, working in a factory, etc. No Sir ! No Way! Will he give that up!

You really need to calm down a bit. Attempting to reach a peace agreement is not a bad thing... however, I doubt that anything will come of this. The Jews have been willing to trade land for peace for decades, the Arabs have shown they have zero interest in peace, so I don’t believe this attempt will end any different than any previous ones, but no reason to have a stroke because folks are trying to find peace.

Lots of territories shrink after losing a number of wars. Ask Kaiser Wilhelm or the Ottomans.

War is in large measure a jobs program. Whether Israel or the Palestinians. Everyone in Israel and the Palestinian territories is involved in the war effort. If the conflict were really ended, what would all these warriors do for a living ?
