They need four senators. They may get one with Mittens.

This will be all forgotten by Wednesday. President Trump’s Dream Team presents its case today and tomorrow.

If they finish as strongly as they will, the votes will be there to proceed to acquittal.

Do you think Bolton will testify against Trump?

My view is that state of mind is irrelevant. The action is either legal/constitutional or not.

If Trump is out to get Biden as a matter of personal vendetta, and some legal reason comes along to enable that, the action is legal.

I hope the President's team sticks to their game plan and doesn't feel the need to change because of yesterday's news.

However, based on yesterday's news, I wonder if they are having second thoughts about starting so late today and basically giving back that time that could otherwise be used tomorrow to address this, based on today's reactions to yesterday's news.

The President's team was trying to contrast themselves with the Democrats by being respectful of the Senate, the Senators, and their time. What they got back from the Democrats was to be blind-sided on Sunday in a pre-planned attack.

As of now, the President's team has left about 10 hours on the table versus the Democrats. After this sneak attack on the President, I would think they'd accelerate their schedule to make room for additional material at the end of tomorrow, after they complete their prepared responses.

Vidman’s twin brother is in charge of all the book reviews for the government

No. He is in charge of pre-publication review of articles and manuscripts authored by former and present employees employed by the NSC.

The next NYT leak will be that John Bolton had an affair with Christine Balsy-Ford.

No. He knows nothing about the July 25th phone call. Bolton isn’t a first hand witness.

He’s another hearsay witness, which is exactly why Democrats never subpoenaed him to appear in the House.

His potential testimony would be of no probative value whatsoever.

Sure, but we know how the Democrats will tactically play this, and how the MSM will spin it.

As of now, the Democrats are following Sun Tzu about forcing the Republicans to battle on their favored ground.

Republicans will need to do something to take back the initiative. McConnell needs to keep his caucus in line and stop with the undermining comments in the media from his members.

Thanks for a rare cheerful comment amidst all the pearl-clutching on this thread.

Party line vote to acquit coming up.

Indictments won’t start dropping until Trump is reelected (God willing) in November.

CNN chyron: House Managers Speak On Bolton’s Damning Revelations

Yup, they’re fair-minded, alright. Not surprising with Fredo anchoring the broadcast:

I look forward to seeing:

BIDEN, BIDEN, SCHIFF, VINDMAN, WHISTLEBLOWER, INVISABLE WHISTLEBLOWER come forward as witnesses.

I’ll be very patient.

-- McConnell needs to keep his caucus in line and stop with the undermining comments in the media from his members. --

Pretty tough to do with arrogant know-it-all people. Romney is a loose cannon with knives out against Trump. Collins is half moron. Murkowski has her own machine in Alaska.

All of them have reelection as priority one.

Collins has learned her lesson that "doing the principled thing" (Kavanaugh) can be a recipe for disaster. It's all about optics, and these tools always accept the arguments as framed by the press.

So goes the war.

Bolton will testify and it will be to help the dems.

Romney will deliver his bloc of 7-8 rinos to vote for witnesses.

Some of his bloc will also vote with Romney to remove.

Time will tell.
