Normalcy returns to Guatemala-Mexico border after latest migrant caravan

(excerpt middle...)

Where the first caravans were allowed to pass through Mexican territory and even given humanitarian aid or transportation by many communities and some officials, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s administration changed that beginning last year in response to steep trade tariffs threatened by Washington.

The result was on display Thursday on a rural highway in the far-southern Mexican city of Frontera Hidalgo, just across the river border between Mexico and Guatemala that the hundreds of migrants, mostly Hondurans, crossed before dawn.

The migrants walked for hours before stopping at the crossroads where Vázquez’s stand lies, taking advantage of the copious shade on a road otherwise largely exposed to the beating tropical sun. They bought all the food the family and refreshments the family had and behaved respectfully, according to Karen Daniela Vázquez Robledo, his daughter.

It goes on to say that the Mexican national guard showed up, loaded most of them up on buses without issue after a brief moment of demand to be let through and hauled off to detention (a few hardcore people were restrained.) These were Hondurans claiming to be refugees (but just gate crashers.)

And this is how Trump's wall operates. The threat of trade sanctions forced Mexico to actually secure their borders rather than giving escorts to gatecrashers to the United State's border. People will be given the chance to lawfully apply for asylum in the United States, most will be turned away and returned to their country.

No Obama era cages, detention camps in the US are emptying, the rule of law is returning.

Just something to keep in your toolkit for any doubter who says that Trump didn't meet his campaign promise of a wall, or that Mexico didn't pay for it.

President Trump is the rarest type of human being in The Swamp.

A man of his word.

The man is sunlight upon darkness.

A man of his word.

This is the reason that the mullahs from iran are starting to say that they have "always" wanted negotiations with Trump.

Now they see, that he ain't obummer or shrub, and when he says something, they had better listen.

The very rare quality among men, to actually do what you said you would do...WOW.

Now that’s what I call a great quid pro quo. Keep the invaders away from our border or we’ll “tarrify” you!

Trump can’t be president forever. When he no longer is and the Democrats get back into The White House they’ll throw open the borders and the hordes will coming charging in.
