"Fairly won ? Like elections in California ? The magical place where in hundreds of elections since after 1994, no Republican has ever unseated a Democrat incumbent for Congress, and every close race has miraculously been “won” by the Dems (Including Schiff’s when he “defeated” the excellent Conservative incumbent Jim Rogan in 2000)?

I hear you.

By the way: "Former Rep. Darrell Issa, a once powerful chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee who retired last year, says he wants to return to Washington.

And he is seeking to unseat a fellow Republican to do so.

"I will be the next congressman from the 50th Congressional District," Issa proclaimed at a news conference Thursday in El Cajon, Calif."

To: a little elbow grease

Fun fact: We had 26 Republicans (to 26 Dems) going into the 1996 elections in California. They have systematically stolen 19 of those seats (and others) since (and 7 alone just in 2018), leaving just 7 Republicans (to 46 Dems + 2 Senators)... and now 6 with Duncan Hunter, Jr’s resignation. It is Hunter’s seat Issa is running for. The execrable Governor Newsom will not call a special election and this seat will remain empty for an entire year.

The Demonrat corruption in this state makes Banana Republics blush with embarrassment (ah, and let’s not forget that thanks to this “top two finisher” bullcrap, Republicans can be completely shut out of races altogether, including a recent Senate race). How convenient to have an all-Stalinist “runoff.”
