New photos have emerged which for the first time show convicted Nazi guard John Demjanjuk at the Sobibor death camp, a Berlin archive confirmed Monday, although he always denied ever being there. Ukrainian-American Demjanjuk was convicted of being an accessory to the murder of nearly 30,000 Jews at Sobibor by a German court in 2011. He died while his appeal was pending.
According to the Berlin-based Topography of Terror archive, photos of Demjanjuk are among a newly discovered collection of more than 350 snaps which give "detailed insight" into the camp in German-occupied Poland.
The photos surfaced from the estate of former SS officer Johann Niemann, who was killed in an inmates' uprising at Sobibor in 1943.
In a statement, the archive said the collection provided "hitherto unknown insights" into both the Holocaust and the euthanasia programme the Nazis forced on disabled or ill people.

The Israeli Supreme Court that acquitted him, cant say, oops! Oh well.
I didn’t know about that
Did Pat at least think the guy was innocent?
Either way, better to stay away.
And it’s worse than strange if Pat just didn’t care.
These are great, but it would be much, much more important and useful to uncover photos of Soros.
“Was always so strange how much Pat Buchanan loved this man.”
Pat had some really good points regarding immigration, basically (and correctly) predicting the end of Europe and the potential end of the US (if conservatives sit out the November election because they don’t like so-and-so RINO on the ticket), but when it came to Hitler, Israel, etc...he’s out there on his own. He really did have a shot at the White House in 1992, but the intensity that he had defending the indefensible sickened far too many people, including me.
No photos in an article exposing that new photos were uncovered???
Who runs this outlet?
Soros was a Nazi death camp guard? No, he was a 12 year old boy.
“Soros was a Nazi death camp guard? No, he was a 12 year old boy.”
Soros was pressed into service by the Nazis to collect the belongings of fellow Jews sent to death camps.
A guard at a NAZI death camp? Sounds like a guy Joe Biden would hang out with
He died an innocent man (since his case was on appeal). He enjoyed the notoriety. His family supported him all the way to the bitter end.
Good post yours. I really like a lot of Buchanans ideas. But he has a dark side. In his book Churchill, Hitler and the Unnecessary War, Buchanan blames the British for everything, and the Germans for nothing. In particular, he defends Hitlers pre-war diplomatic aggression.
Ive got a feeling that had Buchanan lived in German-occupied France, he would have been a willing collaborator.
It’s my understanding he’s called that the best year of his life.
“Its my understanding hes called that the best year of his life.”
I’ve read that, but if you watch the 60 minutes interview I’ve posted and don’t come away thinking he’s a scumbag, well, we have no common ground.
But there was a second trial and he was convicted of being a guard at a different camp, not the worst monster of the whole thing. Based on the evidence and his own shaky story, that seems right.
Germans,Austrians (and others) were executed for disobeying Nazi orders. That includes in the military as well as civilian administration. IMO there are some occasions...and perhaps many...where a *junior* soldier,or civilian, could almost be forgiven when claiming "I was only following orders".
It must be noted that among many...if not most...of the younger participants in the genocide the Hitler Youth played a huge role in their formative years.
Assuming that there's at least some validity in what I've said I certainly cannot be sure that that can be applied to Demjanjuk.
I’ve known for years he was a scumbag, even without watching the interview.
I believe Buchannan felt he deserved only a fair trial. As for the dark side I’d just point out his choice of VP on the Reform ticket-some black female communist. Just wanted to keep himself relevant like the rest of them. He’s like Savage and O’riely. Gotta keep them all at arms length.
