Nah, liked the first one but they screwed it up already by the second one when they decided to go with “the formula”. Didnt need cutesy, didnt need comic relief, didnt need a lot of what was in the sequels and promised to get worse with each one.

But it was the first one ("The Force Awakens") that was (even) more formulaic than the following two.

"The Force Awakens" was a weak remake of "A New Hope" - what they call a "soft reboot." Poor waif on desert planet makes friends with droid carrying secret plans, hooks up with Han Solo, is "introduced to the Force," confronts big mask-wearing baddy, joins "Resistance," makes planet-buster go "kablooie!"
