Historic? That shows how macro economically stupid Americans really are. EVERY OTHER COUNTRY USES TARIFFS TO RUN SURPLUSES WITH THE USA AND TO PROMOTE THEIR PROTECTED INDUSTRIES which is what sane governments do. Tariffs worked in the USA for 130 years until the income tax came along and RUINED everything.

I guess you consider people above criticism if they wealthy. Even if they’re actively working against your interests, they should be exempt from criticism. Soros, for example. It would be “envy” for a “have not” to criticize Soros, under your logic, because he’s a billionaire and you don’t want to look like you envy him.
That’s not the mentality of a conservative, that’s the mentality of a slave.
Of course they worked. Every “expert” was predicting trade wars and calamity from the United States.

My last post to you, since you always dance away from what you said. Of course you were talking about wealthy people, and why it’s a sign of “jealousy” to criticize them. There were your words: “so they’re greedy? No law against it and I’m guessing they are paying plenty in taxes.” Obviously you mean wealthy people because it’s wealthy people “who pay plenty in taxes.”
I think by now you must be embarrassed for your original post standing up for wealthy Wall Street liberals - since you keep trying to deny the meaning of what you said.
