Here’s a little more of the article that talks about that:
The affidavit describes some of the three mens recent alleged activities preceding the arrests, including creating a modified assault rifle in December.
One man, 33-year-old Brian Mark Lemley Jr., used this modified weapon at a Maryland gun range on Jan. 2, when an FBI agent heard what appeared to be more than one bullet being fired at a time, the affidavit said. Mr. Lemley later that day told Patrik Jordan Mathews, the 27-year-old Canadian, that he had a gun that could fire more than one round at a time, authorities said.
Oh oops, it looks like I accidentally made a machine gun, Mr. Lemley said, according to the affidavit. He also allegedly said that he would stow part of the weapon until the next week in case someone from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives showed up.
[[when an FBI agent heard what appeared to be more than one bullet being fired at a time,]]
it still only fires 1 bullet at a time even if it’s a fully auto- unless it had several barrels all capable of firing at once? I doubt it-
[[the affidavit said. Mr. Lemley later that day told Patrik Jordan Mathews, the 27-year-old Canadian, that he had a gun that could fire more than one round at a time, authorities said.]]
So they are claiming the defendant told them he told soemoen he had a gun with multiple barrels?
[[Oh oops, it looks like I accidentally made a machine gun, Mr. Lemley said, according to the affidavit. He also allegedly said that he would stow part of the weapon until the next week in case someone from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives showed up.]]
so he goes out in public advertising to the world his new supposed fully auto gun, then AFTER says h has to now hide it?
This story sounds very fake to me- made up-
What a crock of Bull.
As if some guy who modified a rifle to go full auto is gonna go to a gun range to try it out. AND, at a range where the FBI happens to be.
Bump Stock?
