Mixed here. Without all the facts I am hesitant but as a general thing I am against “showing” some one a weapon. If you had a reason to get it out you had a reason to use it and the two should not be “separate” decisions. That sort of stuff gets you killed.
Sounds like pulling his gun was just a cautious move toward self-defense.
