Does VA have a means of recalling their legislators?
VA has one of screwiest recall procedures in the country.
Now I know why.
“Does VA have a means of recalling their legislators?”
Short answer is NO.
Neither the Virginia constitution or law applies for recall of any elected state officer. It has never been litigated in the courts or voted on in the legislature.
We do have an impeachment process that requires a majority vote in the House of Delegates and a two thirds vote in the State Senate.
The only recall the citizens can participate in is one that ends with the hemp necktie.
