I saw a video of that. He slapped her hand and turned toward the camera with a nasty scowl on his face. He’s not a good man.

~~~
I got mostly the same impression. He was very perturbed about being grabbed.
The pope is a figurehead, and just like a high level politician, they carefully craft a brand. Everything he does in public is designed to support that. “The Pope” is a concept, not a person, in this regard.
On the other hand, the Pope is a very powerful person. No matter how humble and pious his work, prayers and efforts, he is still in a position where he expects a great deal of respect and is the subject of an enormous level of responsibility and obligation. You can’t be a person like this in the day and age of a hundred cameras being pointed at you in any moment, and be having a bad day.
Dude was having a bad day. If anyone grabbed my arm on the average monday morning, they might get a whack like the kid with in australia with the egg. lol
He showed his true colors....Look at him just before the incident....offering his hand to anyone who would worship him.
And it was such a grand photo-op until that point.
The irony of this "apology" over slapping a woman's hand angrily, is the Pope's prepared remarks thereafter:
The rebirth of humanity began from a woman. Women are sources of life. Yet they are continually insulted, beaten, raped, forced to prostitute themselves and to suppress the life they bear in the womb. Every form of violence inflicted upon a woman is a blasphemy against God, who was born of a woman.
I understand what you’re saying.
This “Pope” is a Communist/Globalist Social Engineer who has no concern for the saving of souls.
Did Soros arrange to put Francis in as pope the way he selects states’ attorneys general and secretaries of state? Was Benedict forced to step down in order for Francis to take his place?
Tattaglia was a pimp.
I’m glad he got his.
Felt bad for the girl in bed with him though.
The baptism scene, one of the best scenes in American film history!
Michael because ICE COLD.
I’m a little torn. It was rude of her to grab and pull at him, but he could have handled it better. Secondly - Where was his security detail?
My thoughts as well.
> All she wanted to do was hold his hand for a second. <
Yes, that woman was a security risk. But so is every person within 10 feet of the pope. So I don’t buy the old security risk excuse.
As you noted, the woman just wanted to touch the pope for a second. Just like a movie fan would want to push forward to get a movie star’s autograph. All of that goes with the territory.
Security must be ever-vigilant. But if you don’t want fans to crowd you, don’t be a movie star, or a pope. Go work as a forest ranger instead.
