Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), ordered a review of state laws that allow illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses and restrict data sharing with federal immigration authorities.
Wolf on Tuesday ordered all of the components of DHS to conduct a department-wide review of the state laws to determine how they affect their day-to-day operations, according to a memo obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The DHS chiefs directive indicates he is prepared to take aim against the state laws.
Accordingly, I am instructing each operational component to conduct an assessment of the impact of these laws, so that the Department is prepared to deal with and counter these impacts as we protect the homeland, Wolfs memo read.
The memo follows implementation of New Yorks Green Light law, and passage of a similar bill in New Jersey in December. Both laws not only allow illegal aliens to obtain drivers licenses, but also restrict DMV data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security.

How about the Justice Department take them to court to get rulings against those laws, or even better, charge the officials with aiding and abetting illegal aliens.
And how many of these illegals use their drivers licenses to vote and thereby deprive Americans of their voting rights?
Gee, I hope canceling their drivers license does not rescind their voter registration

Can they fly using these licenses?
If a state issues Drivers Licenses to illegal aliens then that states IDs should not be valid for air travel and the TSA should declare that as an official policy.
DHS should invalidate the use of driver’s licenses as identification for air travel in the states that are issuing them to illegal immigrants.
That’s OK, the Demonrats can always go to the cemetery database for names.
How about withholding federal Highway dollars from those states?

Yes, since that was the purpose of an enhanced driver's license: to provide information to DHS.
About freaking time!
The fed is allowing the states to do any ole damned thing they want.
First of all, these people should not be here. Giving them documents goes again federal immigration policy.
Immigration is the federal government’s duty, States have no right to refuse federal laws regarding immigration.
Your post made me interested....
Now they can fly using these state issued fake IDs. By October nobody can fly using a regular drivers licence. Everybody in America now has to get new Drivers licences with a little star in the upper right ironically called “real ID” in order to get in a plane.
When California began handing out drivers licences and making it illegal to ask for ID it was noticed that any terrorist could get an ID and automatic registered to vote.
So Democrats once again screwed the pooch for everyone.
Good - make it painful!
(my state practically gives them away to the illegals)
I get to renew my DL this year. At a recent visit to the DMV (we don’t call it that in MO) I got a two-sided print-out as to what I’ll need to bring. Proof of citizenship, a birth certificate or a valid U.S. Passport (oddly a an expired passport won’t work), my old DL is not acceptable as ID, 2 proofs of residence, utility bills in my name, a voter’s card, as well as my original, unlaminated Social Security card that I got more than a half century ago.
But illegals can get DLs?
on NPR site: Dec 20, 2019 - Several states are removing voters from their rolls in preparation for the 2020 elections. Critics say voters are being unfairly "purged" but states say they're "cleaning up" the lists. ... Heard on All Things Considered.
So people who died 5-10 years ago still somehow still vote Dem but it's okay if they vote the PC way?
As many times as they want at as many polling places as they wish. To challenge them is "racist." And "voter suppression."
For you with all the proof you have to carry with two hands to put on the counter, just tell them anything missing was washed overboard during your relatives' Mayflower voyage. Bad weather on the high seas.
