What gives the Senate constitutional standing to issue a directed verdict and end this thing without any trial since the impeachment process was bogus and unconstitutional?

What legal step is required to give the Senate jurisdiction in this matter so they can dismiss?

Well, they could just “deem” it to have passed. I suppose we need Eric Ciaramella to tell us what he thinks.

But MCCONNELL wants to stall, who knows why?
